OUR VISION

When Jacey Zhang left a secure career in southern China and arrived in Australia in 2018 to commence a new life for her family, she didn’t bring a lot of clothing with her.

Essentially, her suitcase was empty.

Imagine her surprise to discover on her first trip to an Australian shopping mall that it was populated by a large number of fashion brands she instantly liked but had never heard of. All Australian brands.

Brands whose casual, versatile designs spoke evocatively of the lifestyle she was eager to participate in. Fashion with fabric quality far exceeding what she had become accustomed to in China – even if the garment was actually made there. Garments with high percentages of natural fibres making them not only better to wear, but significantly more environmentally friendly. Clothing priced no higher – and often cheaper – than Jacey had become used to paying in China for their equivalents.

Jacey was hooked. From that moment she was committed to take these Australian brands back to her native China, so a new market – the world’s biggest – could experience the style, quality and price that she had just discovered from an industry that she hadn’t even considered before then.
